Adam Wilson
North London singer/songwriter Adam Wilson has a unique folk noir sound, blending traditional country & folk song-writing sensibilities with more modern influences such as Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and The Unthanks. Adam uses piano, guitar, synthesizer to provide the foundation for his lush melodies and his well-crafted romantic and compassionate lyrics.
Adam’s first album Chaos and Grace and his second West Coast Elegy are currently available on CD or by download/streaming from Zube Records.
Adam’s most recent album of songs, released March 2022, Distant Prize, is now available.
A soundtrack/mixed media project Voices in the Shadows was released on 4th April 2022, in both vinyl and streaming formats with original music composed and performed by Adam Wilson.‘Voices in the Shadows’ – a cross-disciplinary collaboration with visual artist Chris Avis, actor Didi Hopkins and designer / architect David Pike.
The soundtrack to Voices was devised and produced by Chris Avis using original composition by Adam with Chris’ additional sound material. Shoreline, ‘precursor’ to Voices, is a video work designed and produced by Chris, music by Adam, exhibited at Vout-O-Reenees in Whitechapel, east London and Old Biscuit Factory, southeast London.
